However, when it comes to mobile internet speeds India lags, as per recent report by Ookla. Worldwide India ranks 131 in mobile internet speeds with an average download speed of 12.41Mbps (megabit per second) and upload speed of 4.76Mbps as per Speedtest Global Index for January 2021. When compared to the global average of 46.74 Mbps download and 12.49 Mbps upload speeds, India clearly is behind.
