galaxy s9: Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus starts receiving its last major update

After rolling out the latest One UI 2.5 update for its Galaxy Note 9 smartphone, Samsung has now reportedly started rolling out the update for Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ devices as well. The update is possibly the last major update for the Galaxy S9 duo as per Samsung’s three years of Android update promise. According to the report by SamMobile, the Galaxy S9 series users have started receiving the One UI 2.5 update with software version G96xFXXUCFTJ2.
According to the report, the update is currently being rolled out only in Germany and it is expected to expand to other regions by the end of this month. The update will arrive as a notification, however, users can manually check for update by heading to Settings -> Software update -> Check for updates and download the update by tapping on Download and Install button from the bottom of the screen.
Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ One UI 2.5 update: Features
The most noticeable update of One UI 2.5 update is the addition of wireless Dex support for Galaxy S9 duo smartphones. Until now, the device only used to support wired Dex mode. Other features of the update include, updated Samsung keyboard with YouTube search function, split keyboard, Single take camera feature, Pro video mode, SOS messages and more.
As already mentioned, this is the last major update for Samsung Galaxy S9 series smartphones. The device will keep receiving security patches, however, it will not make the shift to Android 11 update.
