On Android, Google is rolling out a new editor for Google photos. The update will have automatic one-tap recommendations, granular controls, and a cleaner interface powered by machine learning. In addition , Google will also let you see the specific edits it has made, and tweak them to your liking.
The redesigned user interface ( UI) will attract more users without having to rely on third-party apps to directly edit their images in Google Photos. On all Android devices, the modified app has started rolling out.
In the Google Picture menu, Google has introduced a new ‘Suggestions’ tab that will use machine learning to give recommendations customized to the particular picture you are editing. Settings like brightness , contrast, and portrait effects will be applied and adjusted.
A new layout for its general editing software would also include Google Images. Scrolling through and adding granular changes such as brightness , contrast, saturation, temperature and more would be simpler, while also exploring new resources. Late in August, Google was spotted working on this new interface for Google Images. Recently, Google Photos has also been redesigned, with a three-tab interface and a server-side switch to give users a smoother experience.
Google has also launched Google Pixel 4a (5 G) and Google Pixel 5 Portrait Light features. This editing feature uses machine learning in portraits to enhance the lighting on faces. After clicking on the frame, you’ll also be able to change the light position and brightness, giving you more control over how your portraits look. In addition, to standard images that have not been taken in Portrait Mode, you can add Portrait Light. This is soon going to be available for more Pixel devices.
The new editor for Google Images is now rolling out on Android devices. Portrait Light is coming “soon” to other Pixel phones, so don’t despair if you’re hoping your Pixel 4 will have similar photographic tricks.
