WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will allow you to change audio message playback speed on iOS. With this, you will be able to play audio files in 1.5X or 2X speeds. Of course, you can also listen to audio messages at standard 1X speed as well.
So, if any friend of yours sends you recorded audio messages on WhatsApp, who usually speaks slowly, you can simply increase the playback speed to understand the message quickly.
This feature is said to be in beta and WhatsApp version 22.214.171.124 will come with this feature. Very little is known about how WhatsApp will allow you to change the playback speed and when this feature will be actually rolled out.

There’s another little trick to listen to audio messages secretly without earphones. The next time you receive an audio file on WhatsApp, instead of grabbing your earphones, just take your phone and put it on any of your ears after hitting the play button, as if you are on a call. The moment you lift the phone after hitting the play button on the WhatsApp audio file and place the device on your ears, the audio file will play through the earpiece of your smartphone and not the speakers.
Meanwhile WABetaInfo, which keeps tracks of new developments around WhatsApp, also claimed that the platform will offer a “WhatsApp Web Beta” program for iOS and Android beta users. This feature will help you to use WhatsApp Web without having to keep your phone connected to the Internet.
WhatsApp recently rolled out a ‘mute video’ feature for its Android app users. Using the mute video feature, WhatsApp users can mute a video before sharing it on WhatsApp Status or sending it to other users. It is available on the video editing screen when one shares a video with another contact.
