Soon, you may have another device to make WhatsApp calls

Must read

Calling has become an important part of WhatsApp and it seems that the company is planning on extending the support of this feature to its desktop and PC users as well.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has recently released a new version for the web — with version 2.2043.7 — and with this build, traces have been found for the option of calling other people on WhatsApp.
As per the report, the support for voice and video calls is likely to be rolled out “in the next few weeks.”

The report comes with screenshots to show how the calling functionality will work on the platform. Whenever a user will receive a call on WhatsApp web, a pop-up window is said to come with two options of ‘Decline’ and ‘Accept.’ Alternatively, when a user calls another user on WhatsApp, there is said to be a smaller window which shows status of the call.

The report further claims that calling support will not be limited to individual calls but will be extended to group calls as well.
